Spring Blossoming

Another month!  It feels like spring in beautiful California today.  My camellia bushes are in full bloom, almond  trees are in their glorious "bride-like" outfits, and peach trees are blooming in delicate pinks, all against a cerulean blue sky with white puffy clouds.   On our recent trip to the mountains, we saw the bold coral red of flowering quince bushes peering from many homes' front yards, accenting the bright yellow daffodils and kelly green grasses.  It's truly a magnificent sight to behold!  We are sooooo fortunate...
In spite of having a bad cold, I managed to get into my studio (nicely organized, I might say, thanks to a friend's help) and play with some of my beads and jewelry components.  It's been so very long, but I just had to start--the beginning is always the hardest, isn't it...It was fun and I look forward to more playing around and actually putting things together to show you.
Let me back up to "...friend's help".  I had gotten myself into such a mess that I didn't want to go into my studio and found all kinds of excuses not to.  This happened because of our recent renovation projects,  the ensuing sale and purchase and fixing up of our properties, all in the course of the last 3 months, as mentioned in a previous post. So, I knew I needed help to break through this "avoidance" and what better way to do it than with a good friend's help.   It made the job much more pleasant and the result is, I can now get to the work that I love.
Our vacation property is coming along--lots of shopping for things to make it  relaxing, comfortable, and fun to spend time in.  I could just sit and admire the gorgeous, ever-changeing view of the orchards, the surrounding hills, and the many birds in the trees right off of our deck.  A bird book will be my next investment.  So far I've seen  robins, hawks, wild turkeys, deer, Canadian geese, and other yet-unidentified birds...  We don't have a television yet!    It's amazing  what a quieting, peaceful and totally relaxing experience it is...Now for some pictures!
